“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.”
― Virginia Woolf
Unladylike Musings is designed to explore the issues based around gender, sexuality, and often broader social issues faced by the modern woman.
The blog title, “Unladylike Musings,” is meant to challenge the idea of Emphasized Femininity. It is not necessarily ladylike to ask questions, criticize norms, or push boundaries. How can we separate what it means to be a “lady” (by societal standards) and what it means to be a woman? By asking those pertinent questions and by examining the cultural and gender scripts that are presented to us.
So, let us ponder womanhood and be anonymous no more.
