The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf, The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir, Public Sex by Pat Califia, Wake Up Little Susie: single pregnancy before Roe v Wade by Rickie Solinger.

  2. cafeaulait13 says:

Yes means Yes! and anything by Jessica Valenti, the founder of the blog Feministing. Backlash by Susan Faludi. Backlash is amazing reading, although more generally related to feminism as a whole and the rise of the neo-conservatives and the moral majority.

  3. Annie says:

Women who run with the wolves – written by Clarissa Pinkole Estes opened my eyes…
The courage to heal by ellen Bass and Laura Davis (literally saved my life….)
